In sub-Saharan Africa, Ghana with its fast growing economy has been described as an epitome of democracy and a peaceful nation. In spite of these beautiful accolades, the country is still stricken by adjunct poverty with the most affected been the vulnerable in society: women and children.

According to recent studies by UNICEF, Ghana has already made great progress on the MDGs but a lot is left to be done. With the ever growing population, it is inevitable that we chime in to contribute to the wellbeing of children and needy mothers in the country. Current facts of the country shows:
